SimER PCE

Physical and Chemical Evolution

The Physical and Chemical Evolution (PCE) component performs chemical reactions modelling specified by the user. It allows the user to:

  • Specify instantaneous or kinetic chemical reactions for non-contaminant materials in order to represent the chemical evolution of the system and calculate the production of bulk gases.
  • Use the calculated non-contaminant concentrations (together with information on degree of saturation) to represent the chemical state of Process Grid cells in terms of a number of chemical regimes.

The PCE component also provides the user with the ability to use integrated flows of water and/or contaminants/materials through engineered features in the definition of their degree of integrity.
