Dr. Ed Henderson is a hydrogeologist with over 18 years experience. This includes eight years in university research, four years in commercial consultancy outside the nuclear industry and five years in the nuclear industry (with BNFL and Nexia Solutions).
Ed's principle areas of expertise are in subsurface contaminant transport and hydrological processes. He also has experience in the investigation of contaminated land and groundwater & surface water pollution.
His principle role in the Nexia Solutions Environment Team is to provide expertise in hydrogeological and hydrological aspects of site characterisation and process conceptualisation.
Ed's recent experience with BNFL and Nexia Solutions has included the interpretation of patterns of groundwater contamination, the design of the network of groundwater monitoring wells for Sellafield and the operation of hydrological investigations at the Drigg Low Level Waste Repository.
In addition to a BSc in Geography and Biology and a PhD in subsurface water movement, Ed is a Chartered Scientist, a Fellow of the Geological Society, a member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management and a member of the British Hydrological Society.
